The Hockey stick industry have been on a trend solely seeking lighter and stiffer sticks, in accordance with a drive towards a faster game, at the expense of players. The athletes have  responded by wrapping  unsuitable medical tapes around the face of their sticks in an attempt to soften the touch on the ball. 

PROTOUCH repeatedly heard back from athletes that they wanted a hockey touch-tape that gave them ‘extra control.

The team ran tests on athletes in simulated game environments to see how the ball interacts with the stick and how an interface introduced between this collision could best serve the athletes.
